Military Freakout: I AM A MILITARY MEMBER BEING DISRESPECTED AT THE COUNTER! SUPERVISOR!

Sometimes when a painfully cringeworthy video or news clip is going viral I brace myself & start repeating this mantra in my head,

"Please don't be military. Please don't be a veteran. Please don't be military. Please don't be a veteran."

It's just that we've got enough stereotypes already, & military service is always made to be a key part of any story whether the vibe is good or bad... so we tend to get painted with the same brush.

Unfortunately in this particularly viral case I only had to wait .02 seconds to find out and, as you'll hear, she is indeed "A MILITARY MEMBER!!" * ~ incredibly deep sigh ~*

"I AM A MILITARY MEMBER BEING DISRESPECTED - AT THE COUNTER! SUPER-VISORRRR! Yes, I just pulled that shit. Because you are bad at your job. I don't care. You're bad at your job. I'm taking pictures. Fuuuuck this facility. Fuuuck Vegas. How about 'no ma'am'."

In another TikTok (taken by @guanzon068) you can see she's knocked the card reader to the ground and she continues,

Give me everything back, I'm done with you. MANAGER OF EVERYTHING! STOP SOCIETY! FUCK COVID! FUCK THE FACT THAT YA'LL THINK THIS WORKS (twirling mask around)! HI - BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING. THIS DOES NOT WORK (mask). IT'S THE SPANISH FLU. GET THE FUCK OVER FEAR MONGERING.

Ma'am, this is a Sam's Club.

Obviously COVID or masks aren't the point here; whatever she was railing on about & whatever side she was on she still would have been wrong for her actions. Being wildly shitty to an employee for things beyond their control, having a sense of entitlement for voluntary service (especially during an era where we've been treated pretty damn great), and acting unbecoming of a service member in an extremely public manner during a time when you know everybody has their cell phones out… not great.

This opened up the floodgates on our Instagram & many were trying to guess what branch of service, rank & job would act this way, with the general consensus being officer (of course). On today's episode of ZeroBlog30 we dig into those comments, get to the bottom of it and find the answer, & talk about how we think leadership will handle the fallout. You can check that out on the YouTube episode up top or HERE

Those of us from the enlisted side would never….
