Ed Orgeron Would Reportedly Bring Girlfriends to LSU Practices and Let Their Kids Participate in Drills
With Ed Orgeron and LSU officially having agreed to part ways at the conclusion of the 2021 season, it didn't take very long for stories to leak to the media about what's been going on behind the scenes in Baton Rouge — and they're unreal.
After Coach O won a national championship and got divorced, he reportedly enjoyed the fruits of his labor and status as the de facto King of Louisiana. Like, really enjoyed it.
Maybe the wildest story, though, is that Orgeron would reportedly bring girlfriends to practice and let their kids participate in drills with the Tigers.
Can you imagine trying to get ready for Florida or Alabama and you have to wait on some 10-year-old in front of you as you're going through a tackling circuit? It's one thing to be third on the depth chart behind two NFL Draft picks, but it's an entirely different situation to be in line for a drill behind Timmy. My guess is that didn't go over too well in the locker room.
I believe I speak for everyone when I say Coach O is going to be dearly missed. There is not another coach in college football even remotely like this guy. We're losing a legend.
I think he'll be alright with that $17 million buyout, though.
