MOVIES

1. Once Upon a Time in Mexico - Netflix - 77/100: I love this movie for being unabashedly Robert Rodriguez. Hyper-violent action with a grindouse feel, how could you not love it! Plus Willem Dafoe playing a Mexican is hilarious in retrospect.

2. Jumanji - Netflix - 89/100: With all this Robin Williams hype in the air thanks to that impressionist guy, why not revisit one of his best movies.

3. Kill Bill vol 1 & 2 - HBO Max: 2 of Tarantino's best on waiting on HBO Max for you to enjoy.

4. Doubt - HBO Max - 82/100: This is two GREAT performances from the late Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep. I'm talking near career-best for both of them. The story is a little bit slow sometimes on the technical end, but watch for those performances and you won't regret it.

5. The Invisible Man - HBO Max - 81/100: This movie really snuck up on me. I thought it was going to be so bad because the source material is just not something I found scary or entertaining. In fact, the first movie I thought of was 'The Hollow Man'. But this movie ROCKED and Elisabeth Moss anchored it with an incredible performance.

6. Total Recall - Hulu - 85/100: This is one of my favorite Scifi movies because it knows exactly what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. It is extremely Verhoeven for those of you that have seen his other work like Starship Troopers, Robocop and Basic Instinct(Also Hollow Man which I just shredded).

7. Signs - Hulu - 78/100: I STILL GET HORRIFIED WHEN I SEE THAT CGI ALIEN COME ACROSS THE ALLEY ON THE TV

8. Prometheus - Prime Video - 76/100: I will always stand up for this movie. Not just because it is much better than it's sequel, but because I liked the creatures, the landscapes were beautiful and the soundtrack was incredible.

9. Ju-On: The Grudge - Prime Video - 90/100: The original version is WAY better than any adaptation or sequel that followed it. Watch it for a legitimate scare.

10 Attack the Block - Prime Video - 90/100: I realized too late that I should have had this on my comedy-horror blog from earlier in the week. I talk about and recommend this movie all the time because it really is a phenomenal blend of sci-fi horror and comedy that I think will be up peoples alley.

SHOWS

1. Goliath (Prime) - We recently interviewed Billy Bob Thorton for this show which I hadn't watched before. I ended up binging most of it over the last few weeks and I found it to be an interesting, loopy courtroom drama with plenty to offer.

2. The Movies That Made Us (Netflix): They just added a few new entries, including horror selections like 'Halloween' and 'Friday the 13th'.

3. Succession (HBO MAX): The new season drops on the 17th so no better time to catch up.
