Mick Jagger Spotted With A Thirsty Beaver

Just received a DM that was pretty cool.

A friend of mine who goes by the handle "PolishHammr" on Twitter informed me that the Rolling Stones were performing tonight down in Charlotte, and last night, Mick posted this picture...

That bar in the background, The Thirsty Beaver, is a legendary hangout for locals and made national headlines when the owners held out as a condo developer bought up all the surrounding property and started construction on a cookie-cutter apartment building. 

In a surprising win for small business owners, the builders wound up having to construct their apartments AROUND this classic dive, and now this charmingly-ugly little shack sits uncomfortably crammed in the middle of an even uglier monstrosity.

Now… Unlike Rear Admiral, I have never been a HUGE Rolling Stones fan.

I think they are certainly in the top 20 bands of all time, whereas most people my age probably have them in the top 5 or 10.

But Mick Jagger is 78 years old, and in a day and age where the idea of "15 minutes of fame" has been reduced to 30 seconds of TikTok, it's nice to see this old bastard still killing it on and off the stage.
