This Sacramento News Guy Breaking Down USMNT's Win Over Mexico Makes The 'Boom Goes The Dynamite' Dude Look Elite
I didn't want to oversell this, but I nearly tagged this as my must watch for the year. I can't stop laughing. This is a combo of Perd Hapley from Parks and Rec with a little Boom Goes The Dynamite. Best part is this guy Del Rodgers is a former NFL player. He has a Wikipedia and everything. Even won a Super Bowl with the Niners. Hell, in the Wikipedia it says he's a 'beloved anchor.' I can see why. This is my new favorite clip of 2021 and it's not even remotely close.
He starts with the Raiders call. Nailed it. I mean he fucking nailed it. Then we get to the gold.
Kellyn Acosta is out of bounds and about to kick it in. It goes to the right. Miles Robinson gets through traffic.
Now, I get soccer isn't everyone's favorite sport. That's fine and all. But I'm pretty sure anyone knows what a free kick is or at least where out of bounds is. Also laugh out loud funny that our pal Del just completely forgets about throw-ins. I'd like to be there when someone explained to him that soccer has throw-ins only for his head to explode learning that you can in fact use your hands.
USA wins the 2021 soccer World Cup
Fuck yeah we did. Except it's the Gold Cup. The World Cup is in 2022 and 2026, which we're winning both of those. Also, you know, the World Cup is fucking huge. Pretty sure every news organization will know when we host that and when the World Cup is going on.
They don't make the Olympics but they do make the World Cup and win the DARN thing.
Again, a little salt in the wound to bring up not making the Olympics. I know it's the U-23 (24 team this year) squad. But I still like to see the US in every event. But hey we won the darn thing. Like the other news guy says. A win is a win. Put it in the books.
