The USA Just Won Gold With A Monumental Swimming Upset By A 17-Year-Old From ALASKA!

UNREAL!

Earlier today in my preview blog I talked about how anyone but the defending Gold Medalist Lilly King (USA) or the favorite Tatjana Schoenmaker (RSA) winning would be a shocker.

It happened.

There was a point this morning where Lydia Jacoby was as a +1000 (or higher) underdog this morning. She's 17 years old, from Alaska, and guess what...

How crazy is that!

I'll show you one better, check out the watch party celebrating her victory...

This is what the Olympics is all about. It really doesn't get crazier, or cooler, than that right there. Dreams coming true, families celebrating… it's just so awesome to see… especially when it results in the United States winning Gold!

It was a tough night going into this event for the United States in the pool as they lost a streak in the Men's 100m Backstroke that dated all the way back to the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. Ryan Murphy still grabbed a Bronze, after winning Gold in Rio five years ago, but that was a dynasty that finally toppled tonight.

Much more to come! My blog with tomorrow's LIVE viewing schedule will be out soon.
