If it seems like overkill that's because it is and rightfully so. I have been on the edge of my seat for the last week now, waiting for the KB trade news to drop. It's been agonizing. Let me have my victory lap with the big fella including our interview now posted to Barstool Chicago YouTube. I dare you to watch that and tell me we don't have a connection. 

Here's another dare. Find me a team that lets a homegrown MVP walk over a presumed-PR pissing match? How do I even find myself in the position to rationalize him no longer being a Cub? These are questions I cannot answer at the sake of my mental, physical and emotional health. I have to stay strong, so I'm going to reminisce. I've had a plenty of amazing moments watching KB play in Chicago, like the time he won the World Series. 

I could continue to complain but the reality I would do no use. I have no impact or control over his future. If I did then we wouldn't be having this conversation. I think that's pretty fair, and I hope the decision makers around the Cubs are as embarrassed as the rest of us fans. That's the bad stuff. 

The good stuff is actually pretty limited here. I can't really think of anything good. Mostly just Bad Thoughts. 

So maybe just take 15-20 minutes to see the guy smile one more time talking about the Cubs and his teammates and the city and all that bullshit. Not sure how many more of these he has left. My hunch tells me it's probably the last time we do this so don't be bashful. Take a big bite.
