Tom Cruise Went from Wimbledon to the Euro Final and is Dating Marvel's Agent Carter as His Impossible Life Rolls On

For virtually every living human, save for a billionaire launching himself into space on a rocket he built, being spotted around the globe fist bumping Britain's most famous athlete as Britain scores in the Euro Final would be the highlight of your weekend.

But no one ever said Tom Cruise is human. He's from some other species or some extra plane of existence entirely. He is of a race or a dimension where banging knuckles with a nation's most iconic sports figure barely cracks the top five most interesting moments of the last few days.

First, he's on the set of "Mission: Impossible We've Lost Count," the latest installment of the perhaps the last dependable movie franchise. One that Hollywood is counting on to make blockbuster films a reality again. Next, he went to both Wimbledon finals, with the Men's event on Sunday ending like an hour before the soccer began. And was, not surprisingly, impeccably dressed at both.

And yet in my humble opinion, the most impressive feat Cruise pulled off was none of those things. It was whom he brought to the Ladies' finals on Saturday:

Source - Tom Cruise and his stunning “Mission: Impossible 7” co-star Hayley Atwell were looking fine as they attended the Wimbledon finals on Saturday.

Cruise smiled as he let his rumored girlfriend get a step ahead of him while the pair headed into the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. ...

Cruise, 59, and Atwell, 39, have been in production on the globe-trotting spy adventure since last year, including when they filmed a BMW car chase in Rome in October.

A production source told the Sun in December that the actors “hit it off from day one.”

“Lockdown, and all the difficulties that came with it, brought them even closer and they’ve become fairly inseparable,” the source said.

Tom Cruise, you magnificent bastard. I've seen this man run down the side of a massive skyscraper and grab onto the side of a cargo plane while it takes off and yet dating Hayley Atwell might be the most impressive thing I've seen him do since, I don't know, date Katie Holmes I guess.

Atwell has been part of my starting rotation ever since I first saw her in "Captain America: The First Avenger." Steve Rogers went back in time to the 1940s to marry her, then sat on his hands for 70 years through wars, assassinations and terrorists attacks, and I can't say that I wouldn't have done the same thing. In a Marvel Cinematic Univers Hot Female Character Fantasy Draft, she'd fly under the radar of blue chip picks like Black Widow, Captain Marvel and Wanda, but I'd take her in the mid-rounds and dominate the league.

And let's not limit her appeal to just the MCU and forget about her epic performance in "Black Mirror." You'll have to click the link but you will not regret it:

So well done by Tom Cruise. He's got a discerning eye for talent. Hayley Atwell is what I consider the Thinking Man's Bombshell. And the Man Who Could Have Anyone has made the right choice.

Even as he approaches the age of 60, when most men are breaking into their 401k accounts and starting to slow down in life, he just continues to increase his already commanding lead over the rest of mankind like Secretariat down the stretch at the Belmont. He's making this movie and hitting these events and fist bumping with this celebrity and dating this woman and "Top Gun: Maverick" isn't even due out for months. He's lapped the rest of the field by so much, you can't even resent him for it. You can just do the best you can to live vicariously through him.
