Rian Johnson Won't Rest Until Every Star Is Cast In Knives Out 2

The latest Knives Out 2 set photos reveal Ethan Hawke was secretly cast in the movie. One of the most notable aspects of the original Knives Out was the star-studded ensemble cast that memorably brought director Rian Johnson's Oscar-nominated screenplay to life. The followup is shaping up to be no different, as returning leading man Daniel Craig is joined by a collection of A-list talent including Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Leslie Odom, Jr., Kathryn Hahn, and many more. Based on Knives Out's success, it was clear many other big names were interested in joining the franchise.

Hawke (and Jada Pinkett Smith) have joined Daniel Craig, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom Jr., Kathryn Hahn, Edward Norton, Dave Bautista, Madelyn Cline, Jessica Henwick and more. This man Rian Johnson simply won't quit until every actor in hollywood is in this damn movie! Will Leo make an appearance? Probably not. But Adam Driver? Jason Momoa? Elizabeth Olson? Shit, Maybe!

I'll reiterate what I've said in other casting blogs for this movie in that Knives Out was one of the sneaky best movies of 2019 (My personal #9 on the year). Whodunnits is a genre that has never really held a ton of sway for me, but this came out of nowhere and blew me away with great characters, smooth dialogue and a really smart plot. That's why I've been all in on this sequel ever since walking out of the theater after the original. In fact, Rian Johnson once read my potential title for a sequel (I'm at the :54 mark).

As a huge Guy Fieri guy, Johnson's silence re: my crusade is deafening. Btw, if you are a food network/masterchef guy, check out my interview with judge/restauranteur Aaron Sanchez.

Also, look how handsome Daniel Craig looks in his little greek outfit. like a little easter bunny.
