I know he's from Atlanta. I know he's spent time with the Hawks. I know that Dwight Howard is a bizarre guy who resides somewhere in the middle between basketball player and mascot at this stage in his career.
But c'mon, man...you can't be showing up to sit courtside in your street clothes to watch the team that you just blew a 26-point lead to. You can't be showing up to sit courtside in your street clothes to watch the team that just beat you 3 times on your home court as the 1-seed in the playoffs. Who totally humiliated and emasculated the 76ers organization and basically neutered the city of Philadelphia. Have you listened to sports talk radio in this city any time over the past week? It is BLEAK out here in these streets.
Just seems like a super bizarre move to say the least. I'm not saying you shouldn't watch a single minute of the playoffs after you get bounced because you can't even stomach the fact that other guys are still playing and you're sitting at home. But being a fan sitting courtside? Suspect. But either way, congrats to Dwight Howard on making it to the Conference Finals. Huge moment for him. Glad he gets to enjoy it.
