The World Series Of Warzone Is Today - Here's What You Need To Know
Video Breakdown: (Verbal Blog if you will)
The World Series of Warzone is today! The competition begins tonight at 5pm EST and we'll be streaming a live Watch Party!
Let's break down the teams and talk about the competition.
TEAMS
Timthetatman, Nadeshot, Aydan, TheDanDangler and Swagg were chosen to be captains for the WSOW. yesterday, they drafted trios to represent their squad. Below are the teams they drafted plus their own "Captain's Squad."
Format
I'm sure at this point, you're a little bit confused how the tournament will work, so lemme break it down.
Trios will be competing individually and also for their teams in public lobbies matches. However, all 150 players will be queued into the same public lobby match. This is Activision's work around for bugged custom lobbies. The biggest downside to players - they will have to rank up all guns they want to use. In a private match setting, they would have all the attachments unlocked. It's a weird quirk but it'll act as a private match in a custom lobby setting.
Only (6) games will count for the trio's score.
- If the trio places in 1st, they will be given a 2x multiplier on all kills throughout the match.
- 2nd - 15th placement will give the trio a 1.5x multiplier
- 16th - 50th placement will warrant a 1x multiplier
Therefore, if a trio gets 20 kills in their game the scoring would be as follows:
- 40 pts for 1st
- 30 pts for 2nd -15th
- 20 pts for 16th - 50th

Team Scores - After all matches have been played, the 5 Captain Squad's scores will be the aggregate points of their 10 trio teams. Whichever team scores the most points will win the Captain's Prize (see below).
Individual Scores - Aggregate points of the (6) games played by said team
Prize Breakdown
The Captain's Cup add a unique dynamic, but I'm sure every trio is focused on one thing and one thing only - the $50,000 1st place individual trio prize (the $50k will be split 3 ways).
The team that finishes first for the Captain's cup will get $1,000 for each trio + $20k for the Captain. There are 50 teams competing all together, so only the top 50% of competition will come out will some prize money.
MRags' Top 3 Trios
These (3) trios are terrifying to say the least and I expect them to finish as top dawgs in the competition
Swagg, Booya, Biffle
Tommey, Almond, Newbz
JoeWo, Symfuhny, Mutex
I'm hype for this tournament, it's going to be absolutely electric. Again, tune in at 5pm EST to watch with us!
