Phil Ivey Is So Fucking Awesome

I'm so happy for a few reasons right now, but 1 is because now that Cracking Aces is back, I have a platform to talk about, and share cool shit like the above hand. And it is coinciding with live poker coming back after a year due to the pandemic, the timing couldn't be better. And it just so happens a guy named Phil Ivey, the absolute GOAT, is back to doing Phil Ivey things like jamming with 9 high on a T high board vs a 3bet. Just a complete legend through and through. When Phil Ivey is in the mix, poker is better. There is no dispute about it, it's Ivey's world and we're just living in it. 

That hand was from the $25k WPT HU tournament that's being run right now, and our GOAT just took it down for $400,000.

He said he plans on playing WSOP events this fall too. Hopefully this win gets him in the zone to play a packed schedule, nothing would make me happier than to see him at final tables again. 

He's definitely on his A-game, if this turn fold means anything.

Top pair with a straight and flush draw…and he somehow knows to fold to Antonio. I have never, and will never, be able to fold the turn there, but somehow HE KNOWS.

Poker Twitter yells and fights about everything, but everyone agrees on the legend of Phil Ivey. Nobody better. Hopefully will be able to get him on the podcast one day.
