A Tornado Ripped Through Naperville And Some Western Suburbs Last Night And The Damage Is Shocking
Absolutely jarring to see the damage in Naperville, Woodridge, and Darien this morning. Growing up the Western Suburbs tornado watches and warnings were frequent, but touch downs never happened. I usually met them with an eyeroll as the siren went off and the tv kept interrupting the broadcast while I was trying to watch playoff games. This is why you should never take those warnings lightly. Tornados are the scariest type of weather there is. So random. One house is safe, the house next door is leveled to the ground and an entire family's world is destroyed. Prayers to all the people affected by this storm. Some people are reportedly in critical condition. It's always a little scarier when these events happen to where you grew up.
