I've Retired The Controller, Here's How Gaming On A Mouse And Keyboard Has Been Going
Alright, I didn't actually retire the controller - I still play Warzone on controller. But if you want to play Valorant at a decently high level, you should be playing Mouse and Keyboard. So, that's exactly what I did. I'm about 2 weeks into my Mouse and Keyboard journey and I played my best game of Valorant last night.
This was a ranked mode where every round counts, and the gameplay did not disappoint. I was flicking on people left + right and finally feel comfortable using my abilities/alts. The biggest adjustment for me was understanding where my keybinds are located and which finger should be pressing which key (i.e. ring finger should hit q). Not to roast myself, but I completely failed Mavis Beacon as a kid. I never thought I'd have to type often in my adulthood and yet here I am currently typing this blog with two fingers.
In this YouTube video, I break down Valorant at a higher level than my first Valorant video. I want this MRags Plays series to introduce you to new games and help you become better players or simply understand the gameplay you're watching. If you want to watch any of this gameplay live, checkout my at Twitch.tv/MRagsTV or Twitch.tv/BarstoolSports.
