Falcons Coach Arthur Smith Gave a SAVAGE Quote About Julio Jones

I don't even think Arthur Smith was really trying to be snarky or anything like that when he said this, but that's exactly what I want to hear from my head coach after the departure of a guy like Julio Jones. Yeah, everybody would rather have him on the team and it sucks he had to be traded, but it is what it is. He's not there anymore. Those who are have to move on.

But while I'm sure Smith's intent wasn't to be as ruthless as that quote reads, it still is awesome to see in print. If you're not on the Atlanta Falcons at the moment he's being asked about you, you do not exist to Arthur Smith. That's the mindset of a winner.

Is Smith going to lead the Falcons to any sort of sustained success? I have no idea. But I do know that it has to be refreshing for the guys in that locker room to have someone like that in charge after so many years of Dan Quinn spouting his faux motivational nonsense and then going out there and blowing a fourth quarter lead every other week.

Every time I have listened to Smith talk, I have come to like hime more. I think the Falcons found the right guy. Now we just have to wait and see what Smith's offense looks like without the benefit of Jones.
