HOLY SHIT: Julio Jones Said 'I'm Out' of Atlanta When Shannon Sharpe Called Him on Live TV

What the fuck just happened?!

I've never seen anything like this. It's not exactly a shock to anyone that Julio Jones is likely going to be traded at some point this offseason, but he had approximately zero clue he was on television when he said that. This is unbelievable. He thought he was just chopping it up with a buddy and it turns out the whole country was listening in live.

Also, is this even legal? There's a non-zero chance Shannon Sharpe voluntarily committed a crime on television. At the very least, it was an incredibly reckless and shitty move by Sharpe.

Sharpe telling him they're on air at the end of the conversation is truly insane. "Yeah, all that stuff you just said that is going to be the sports story of the day? That was live on national television, by the way." I am certain Jones would not have said, "I'm out of there," if he knew he was live on air. The guy hasn't made a bit of controversy in a decade.

But the whole point of that call being about a Cowboys rumor and Julio basically saying there's no chance he'd want to play there because he wants to win has to sting. Jones is now in a controversy he didn't even know was happening and I'd still say the people who bore the biggest brunt of that phone call were Cowboys fans.

Well, at least we have it from the horse's mouth now. He's out of there. I guess now we sit and wait to see where the best receiver in the NFL is headed and what Atlanta is able to get in return.

But what an insane segment of TV on a Monday.
