Of Course Jared Kelenic's First Career Hit Was A Home Run.

Love to see a guy knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. Gotta be efficient in todays game, so why not make your first hit your first home run too? That is what Jared Kelenic did last night for the Mariners. We saw him make his debut on Thursday and he posted a goose egg in the hit column, so naturally he made quick work and got his first hit in his second game. He went down to get this one and it was a rocket. Got out of here in a hurry. 403 foot bomb for your first hit is how you announce your arrival. I'm a big fan of his swing too, he's going to hit a lot of home runs and look damn good doing it. Awesome to see his family there too, you knew they wouldn't miss this series and it was pretty cool that he could notch his first hit and dong in front of them. 

Like I said the other night, he's one of the top prospects in baseball who came over from the Mets in the Diaz and Cano trade. I'm sure Mets' fans will have a calm reaction to their former guy starting out like this, for sure won't overreact. He followed up his homer with 2 doubles as well, I think it's safe to say he's ready for the bigs. Seattle now has some sexy pieces, Kyle Lewis, Kelenic, Julio Rodriguez. Some young studs who HOPEFULLY can make this team fun and competitive again.
