Canelo Alvarez Destroys Demetrius Andrade To His Face In Perfect English After Andrade Crashes His Press Conference To Talk Shit

FINALLY something worth writing about in the boxing world. I'm not saying the actual sport has lost its luster, it just that the "sweet science" guys have taken a backseat to YouTubers in terms of popularity. Which is why seeing a guy like Canelo, arguably one of the greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all time, make headlines for something outside the ring makes me so happy- because it's good for the sport. It's funny too because he just beat the shit out of Billy Joe Saunders for the super middleweight unification belt yet no one under the age of thirty knows or cares. Boxing needs storylines and this press conference just created one. Credit to Demetrius Andrade for stepping up and realizing that. 

That said, the most impressive part of this entire story is the fact that Canelo was able to switch to English so effortlessly. The guy has given maybe two press conference where he speaks English, and the second Andrade is within earshot he turns into Bill Shakespeare. He wanted everyone to know what he was saying. Whether or not that turns into a fight has yet but be seen, but a guy can hope. Here's what Large had to say about that...

Demetrius fights one weight class down (middleweight) and hasn’t fought anyone yet... Part of that reason is because nobody wants to fight him.  Has an awkward but effective style. 

Canelo might move down to middle after his NEXT fight when he takes the last super middle belt from Caleb Plant... But even if he moves down, there’s a chance he fight Charlo or GGG before giving Boo Boo Andrade a shot.

We'll see what happens. Congrats to Canelo on his win. Hopefully the next time we see him he'll be beating the shit out of Andrade.
