Must Watch/Rewatch: The Pirate Porn Saga

So the new Dave Portnoy show just came out today featuring Pirate Simon, which you can watch/listen to on iTunes, Spotify, or YouTube

When Simon was recording in the office yesterday, I was talking to a few different Barstool employees who said they had no clue what the Pirate Porn Saga was, which is an objectively RIDICULOUS thing to type, as well as a few who said they become diehard Barstool followers because of the Pirate Porn Saga. So I felt we needed to catch up everyone who has never seen the video as well as refresh the minds of everyone has seen the video of just how great the Pirate Porn Saga was, hence the Must Watch tag, which is never thrown around lightly here.

A few quick thoughts:

- Holy shit everyone looks young and that's after being aged in Barstool years, which hit somewhere between Presidential years and dog years

- I remember gasping when I saw there was what appeared to be a heat lamp in the interrogation room, which is the last place I'd want to be with Dave Portnoy. Nothing topped the scrappiness of OG Barstool

- Hank putting his own ass in the jackpot by saying there was a 1% chance he downloaded the porn despite definitely not downloading the porn is all you need to know about what it was like working in the Milton office

- Speaking of which, I know the Milton office was for sale a few months/years back (my brain has no concept of time anymore) and Portnoy didn't buy it. But someone needs to do the right thing and give that place to Barstool. Too many classic moments occurred there for it to be anything else than Barstool property

- I personally have this as a Mount Rushmore moment in Barstool history since it was such a ludicrous story that ran for a while and had an ending. The fucking Pirate King, man.

- Like Dave said on the podcast, if Pirate Simon correctly mentions on The Rundown that it was Nate who wrote the pirate porn blog instead of Big Cat, the entire saga doesn't happen. However, Big Cat was there and a saga was born. It's crazy how many things like that have happened since Portnoy made his deal with the devil.

Barstool also did an episode devoted to this timeless internet saga for the documentary with fully commentary from all parties involved, which you can watch here:

And again, make sure to check out this week's Dave Portnoy Show recapping everything before, during, and after the Pirate Porn Saga (sorry I just had to write that out one more time because it truly is so preposterous).
