Happy Earth Day - Herd of Elephants Trample Team Of Poachers That Were Trying To Kill A Rhino

CNN - A suspected poacher was trampled to death by a herd of elephants in South Africa's Kruger National Park on Saturday, according to a statement by South African National Parks published Sunday.

Three suspected poachers were attempting to flee Kruger National Park rangers when they ran into a breeding herd of elephants, the statement said.

Once the suspects realized they were being pursued, they "dropped an axe and a bag with their provisions" and ran away from the rangers, the statement explained.

The rangers called for backup from the South African Police Service Air Wing and K9 unit. One suspect was subsequently arrested and "informed the rangers that the group had run into a herd of elephants and was not sure if his accomplice had managed to escape," the statement added.

"The Rangers discovered his accomplice badly trampled and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. The third suspect is said to have been injured in the eye but continued to flee. A rifle was recovered and the case was referred to police, who together with the pathology team attended to the scene," the statement continued. A search for the third suspect is underway.

Poachers kill rhinos for their horns which can fetch high prices in illegal markets.

Chalk one up for the good guys. And by good guys I mean animals, with us, being the bad guys. Humans are the absolute worst. Show me something breathtakingly beautiful, awe-inducing majestic, and humans will find a way to ruin or destroy it. Not all humans, just the ones that would have been better off being blow jobs. Like people who poach endangered animals.

Biologists think we're idiots so they need to lecture us that this was because these three idiots got too close when they were trying to bang. But everybody knows elephants are some of the smartest creatures on the planet. (Fun fact- they communicate with each other through vibration).

This wasn't these elephants' first rodeo. They knew scum when they saw it, and took care of business. The only sad part is the other two managed to get away. If we wanna eliminate poaching we need to do away with fines completely. Fuck fines, there will always be bigger money behind what endangered species' can provide dead than there will in saving them. Sad but true. The people funding and paying for these goods are just as big of scumbags as the people hunting these beautiful animals. You gotta take these guys, and throw them in a ring with a herd of the animal they were trying to hunt, no weapons, and let nature take its course.

Like the scene in Gladiator except without the tigers in chains.

Or Brienne of Tarth and the bear except without Jamie Lannister coming to save the day like the beautiful son of a bitch he was.

Air what transpires for all the world to see, and upload it to youtube after. These lowlifes will think twice about taking a bid to go kill another beautiful endangered animal guarantee it.

p.s. - Scientists recently cloned the first endangered species successfully. This is great news but what the hell took so long? Why have you guys been cloning lambs and all that shit when you could have been busy replacing all the endangered animals we as a species continue to wipe out year after year through deforestation, pollution, hunting, and other awesome human tendencies?

Also, why did you start with this cute little guy? I have absolutely nothing against black-footed ferrets, or ferrets of any color foot for that matter, but I don't think anybody is worried about them going extinct or even knew they were close to being extinct. Again, no offense. Let's get cloning the big ones please, rhinos, tigers, pandas, lions, gorillas, orangutans, whales, polar bears, chimps, cougars, and last but not least Bald Eagles.

Happy Earth Day everybody.
