We've Got ANOTHER Video Of A Guy Being Stalked By A Hungry Bear And This One Is Scarier Than The First

Source -  A runner in Wyoming displayed steely courage when he talked down a large bear — rather than fend it off with repellant spray — that was pursuing him. A video of his harrowing encounter has gone viral online.

“This one was interested in me, so I had to change its mind,” said Evan Matthews of his FBI-worthy negotiation skills.

The three-minute POV clip, which was shot on a road in Grand Teton National Park, shows a cinnamon-colored black bear rambling out of the woods toward the jogger. Things get hairy when the hangry animal comes within yards of Matthews, prompting the Teton Valley, Idaho, resident to yell at the critter and flash the can of spray.

Matthews’ verbal deterrent tactics initially seem to fail as the bear continues to pursue him down the road for about a half-mile. But the bear eventually loses interest and heads back into the woods.

When it rains it pours in bear attack videos, amiright? Yesterday a I blogged a guy being chased down the side of a mountain and today? This...

Personally I think a slow stalk is muchhhh scarier then a full-blown charge because you have time to think about it. Imagine having your life flash before your eyes for three whole minutes? No thanks. I'd rather get eaten immediately. Also, credit to this guy for actually noticing the bear in the first place. If that were me I would've been oblivious- AirPods in, bopping down the trail without a care in the world. That said, I'm still waiting for one of these videos to end in tragedy. Not hoping for it, waiting for it, because make no mistake about it one will. Someone's going to end up like Timothy Treadwell and it's not going to be pretty.

I also love how the guy "flashed his bear spray" like that was going to do something. I have no evidence to back up this statement, but I feel like the only thing that can stop a hungry bear is a bullet. Oh well. At least everyone walked away unharmed. Which is more than can be said for TT. Check out the trailer for that doc below if you haven't already seen it. RIP to the legend…
