Pat Sajak Accidentally Gave Away an Answer on Wheel of Fortune and the Contestant Still Didn't Get It

I feel so bad for this guy. He has to see that clip for the rest of his life and know that the answer to a puzzle that could have given him tens of thousands of dollars was handed to him on a silver platter and he had no idea. That is the definition of pain.

What I want to know that isn't exactly clear is whether or not Pat Sajak did this on purpose. Does he know the answers to the puzzles? Because he says afterwards, "It's funny what your mouth will say when your brain says, 'You shouldn't do that.'" That leads me to infer that he knew the answer and hid it in plain sight.

If that's the case, then Sajak is one of the biggest savages to ever live. He put it right there on a hidden tee for the poor guy and now that contestant will never forgive himself for missing that puzzle. I would never be able to even flip past Wheel of Fortune for the rest of my life.
