There Is A Rumor That Disney+ Is In Early Development Phases Of Making A Wolverine Anthology Series

The Hashtag Show- This week, we’re talking Mutants. Specifically, the (arguably) most popular mutant: Wolverine. I’m going to address this before we move further since I know most of you are wondering this. Have they cast Wolverine in the MCU? No, not yet.

However, we can exclusively share that Marvel is in early development on a series for Disney+. This series would be an anthology series based on the character of Wolverine. Since Wolverine is immortal and has a multitude of stories to tell, each season will focus on a particular story within the Wolverine mythos. Think like American Horror Story, where there’s a season long plot and then it resets. Only in this, you’ll have the center of Wolverine.

Marvel and Kevin Feige have been hard at work on an approach to Mutants and X-Men characters. They have the challenge of bringing a huge assortment of characters to screen in a way that is both entertaining, but also natural and seamless. My sources tell me that for the longest time Wolverine was the hardest of these characters as he’s one with a huge host of stories, but Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige are confident that an anthology series can safely explore Wolverine’s vast history without affecting any role that he would have in an X-Men film.

*SNIKT*

Oh don't mind that sound, it's just my erection that could cut adamantium after reading those rumors. Now as is the case with all of these rumors, we have to consider the source. But from what I can gather, The Hashtag Show has had some hits in the past with their rumors. As is also the case with all of these rumors, I am going to choose to believe the ones I hope are true and this is one of them. I do the same thing with fantasy football writers that say my players are good while I ignore the writers that say my players suck. This way, I'm always happy.

Anyway, the X-Men have been my favorite superhero group since I started reading comics as a kid, with Wolverine being my favorite X-Man. So needless to say, I love the idea of giving him his own series in order to flesh out his entire fucked up, clouded past. Not only because it gets us mutants in the MCU or that it's the perfect type of story to jump around in time with, but because I don't have to spend $20 to see it a story in the movies that I may have already seen by another studio then wait 3 years for the next one.

I am not going to even attempt to cast Wolverine or any of the other roles because I am terrible at that type of stuff. The LCB guys and Robbie are muchhhhhh better equipped to do that. But I will say that whoever they choose to fill the considerable sized boots that Hugh Jackman left will be perfect because pretty much EVERY SINGLE ACTOR IN THE MCU these days was the perfect casting choice. I mean it's getting ridiculous at this point. But as long as they nail Wolvie and Sabertooth while also ensuring more than a few Deadpool cameos with Ryan Reynolds, everything will be just fine. P.S. I had to throw this gif in the blog just because I saw it while looking for a thumbnail and legitimately LOLd
