Brad Davison Is Coming Back For A Fifth Year At Wisconsin Because College Basketball Needs Its Villain

Well, there it is. Brad Davison one of the most polarizing players, shit even within in his own fanbase, is using the free year of eligibility and coming back to Wisconsin for a fifth year. That means he's the default captain of the How The Hell Are They Still In College Team and it for sure means college basketball has a villain. Seriously this guy has been in college forever. I feel like it's impossible it's only been 5 years. But I digress.

There is a 100% chance something happens early in the college basketball season that triggers some sort of debate. You see there are two things that are absolutely true in college basketball. Brad Davison has been a dirty player and now he's getting fucked by refs. These are all plays from Davison's career to turn him into a villain:

All are dirty plays. At the same time refs are going after Davison for bizarre intentional foul calls when he's not even doing anything. Shit, Wisconsin fans started having enough of him last year when he was having a historically bad season shooting 22% from inside the arc. They were ready to move on from the Davison era and start new guys. Well, that ain't happening anymore. We even saw Greg Gard go after people for how Davison is portrayed:

Davison and Wisconsin should just embrace the villain. Play ominous music when he gets introduced. Hype him up as a villain. We need a villain in college basketball and Davison fits the role perfectly, especially as a 5th year guy. Go crazy when he takes a bullshit charge. Just own it.
