Arizona Defeats UConn Followed By Their Coach Giving A Middle Finger On National TV (Bad Message To The Kids)

UConn lost. Whatever. 4th straight Final Four where they lost in the semifinals. Geno is 11-0 in national champions but 11-8 in the semifinals. A historic program led by a historic coach, but they came up short tonight.

Paige Bueckers didn't have a great night. 5-13 from the field and a few turnovers. She still dropped 18 points, but everyone was slandering her on the timeline. That has been noted by myself. 

I don't have the stats, but what lost UConn the game was missing every layup they took. I'm not sure what happened with Aaliyah Edwards and Olivia Nelson-Ododa, but they had an off night underneath the basket, a combined 3-13 from the field.

What makes matters worse was the actions of Arizona's coach after the game.

There are kids watching. This is the message you want to send them?

Ultimately, UConn is out. They haven't won a championship since 2016, the longest since they won their 1st championship in 1992. This was a young team. 7 freshmen and zero seniors. Next year they add one of the best prospects in women's basketball history, Azzi Fudd AND the #3 prospect. The future is bright.
