Sources: Drew Brees Has Retired From The NFL (The Sources Are His Kids Saying He Retired On His Instagram Account)

So THAT'S what took Drew Brees so long to announce his retirement. Trying to get kids to do all smile for a picture at the same is tough enough, I can't even imagine how long it took them to get a perfect take of each of them partially announcing that you retired from the NFL after a Hall of Fame career. 

Announcing your retirement on the sports holiday that is Selection Sunday as every single sport somehow has shit going on feels like a weird way to get attention, no matter how adorbs your announcement was. I guess Drew is just a big anniversary guy.

Anyway, congrats on the career where you brought the city of New Orleans one less Super Bowl than beloved local icon Elisha Nelson Manning, Drew! I'm saying this now because nobody is going to be thinking about you for the next week as our faces are buried in brackets and trying to figure out what the hell is going to happen in the first NCAA Tournament we've had in two years.

As for Saints fans, now it's time for the rising...

P.S. As someone that has spent the last year at home with only two kids during all this nonsense, I give Drew three months before his agent starts placing calls to teams that play in indoor stadiums about how good Drew's shoulder (and ribs) are feeling great just in case they need a QB with Super Bowl experience so he can get a break from three growing boys and a girl who literally does cartwheels on their fallen bodies.

P.P.S. Truth be told, I thought Tom Brady acquired the Brees kids after beating Brees in his own building then seeing that video.
