THE O'CONNELL FAMILY NEEDS OUR HELP!!!! PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME SUPPORT ONE OF THE GREATEST GUYS I KNOW

This is a blog asking for help so if you're tapped out on these then I completely understand. But if you have the few minutes it would take to listen about my close friend Tim and his family, please do. They need and deserve every bit of help you can give.

You hear me a lot on Barstool Chicago talk about my high school days or anything related to Brother Rice admittedly way too much. I'm a diehard high school guy because that's who I am. It's in my blood and that will quite literally never change.

Well long story short, a number of years ago - several catholic high schools began to close at alarming rates. There needed to be an overhaul across the whole industry to keep doors open from the north to the south. Virtually no Catholic high schools were safe as single student sex populations began to plummet. There were 357 boys in my freshman class 20 years ago and less than 140 not too long ago.

This story takes a personal turn at my own school Brother Rice when a guy named Tim O'Connell shows up one day ready to work for the school. The same guy that was the 2003 valedictorian of the high school and who graduated bronze tablet at Illinois in Accy/Finance meaning he could very well be on Wall Street pillaging and pillaging and pillaging for millions a year. Arguably the most impressive, polished, put together guy from my neighborhood. The guy you sit around with after a couple beers when you're younger and legitimately ask him "would you ever think about being president?" and you'd mean it. Little did you know when he said YES, he was talking about coming home to run the high school. These fucking guys I tell ya.

Tim has devoted his life to our community. He's raised his kids across the street from the school. He's put his flag down as the preeminent face of my generation sticking around home because they want to keep it the same awesome place we've had our whole lives. Without guys like Tim, not just in my home but really across this city, you know how fucked we'd be. Selfless and tireless service to people who are less fortunate and need the leadership. That's Timmy O'Connell to me and I say all that because the OC Family needs your help and I want do everything I can to broadcast it:

On 2/16/21, our amazing sister Molly was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer; an aggressive cancer growing at a 90% rate.  Molly is only 35 years young, a wife to Tim, a catholic school administrator, and most importantly a loving mother to 5 beautiful children, Jack, Megan, Brendan, Timmy, and Charlie.

She has a long fight ahead of her, with chemo starting this week for the next 6 months before surgery. She is the oldest of 5 girls, with the strength to take this horrible disease head on.

Please help her in the fight for her life by offsetting some of the medical costs and expenses incurred throughout her treatment of chemotherapy and surgery.

Please donate if you are able and share this page with friends on social media. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your prayers, support and generosity!

They're making amazing progress but can use more help. I'm begging you guys from the bottom of my heart to please go to this page and learn how you can contribute. The smallest amounts help. Don't leave this up to some bullshit health insurance company that's designed to stick it to people like the O'Connells. Please help.
