Congratulations To Paris Hilton On Her Fourth Engagement! This Time To A Super Rich Jewelry Heir

Source - Paris Hilton is celebrating her 40th birthday with some huge news ... she's once again engaged to be married.

Paris and her entrepreneur BF, Carter Reum, got engaged over the weekend on a private island where the couple kicked off her early birthday celebration. She turned 40 on Wednesday, and talk about one helluva gift -- Carter proposed with a ring reportedly designed by Jean Dousset ... the great-grandson of Louis Cartier.

Right after Paris said yes ... she posted a video showing Carter decked out in an all-white suit and down on one knee.

The Video:

First of all, congrats to Paris. I know we like to poke fun, but I truly do wish her the best. She's now been engaged four separate times since 2002 and none of them have ever worked out. Which sucks but isn't completely unexpected considering all of her other engagements were when she was "peak Paris." She needed to settle down before she got married and that's what she seems to have done so I'm happy for her.

That said, I would honestly like to know how she does it. How does she exclusively date guys who are either as rich or richer than her? The last dude she was engaged to (before the actor) was the heir to a Greek shipping fortune. The guy she's engaged to now, Carter Reum, is the great-grandson of French watch maker turned jewelry magnate Louis Cartier. Apparently he's also a venture capitalist, but everyone is a "venture capitalist" when your seed money comes from grand-daddy's jewelry company. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how long the two of them last. Oh well. Best of luck to the happy couple!
