It's Mahomes vs Brady For The Super Bowl, Who You Got?
I mean honestly, what else can you really ask for? It's the GOAT Tom Brady vs the possible future GOAT Patrick Mahomes, who unfortunately can't be the future GOAT when the current GOAT is still playing (it makes sense, I promise). But enough about farm animals, this is an awesome Super Bowl matchup. You know what it reminds me of?
And it turned out to be one of the greatest matches in Wrestlemania history. What was cool about that match was Rock came in as the babyface, but the crowd turned on him because they realized how awesome it was to see fucking Hulk Hogan, the biggest star in wrestling history (and he will likely always have that distinction. Sure The Rock is bigger now, but that's because of movies. Hogan was world famous before the internet or anything like that just from wrestling. Even to this day when people do promos, they are modeled after Hogan.). And weirdly, I think we saw some of that exact same thing on Twitter today. Everyone, even the biggest of haters, going "well fuck, there's no beating this guy, there's no denying his greatness". It's Tom Brady's world and we're just living in it.
So who do you root for if you aren't a fan of either team/a Patriots fan rooting for Brady. Which by the way, is 100% acceptable. If Ovechkin played for another team you're darn right I'd be rooting for him. Some people transcend what team they are on, Brady and Ovi are two of them. On one hand, you might root for the changing of the guard and want to see Mahomes win and start his own dynasty. On the other hand, you might want to see Tom Brady win another Super Bowl, this time without Bill Belichick. I think both are reasonable reasons to root for a team. I'm currently finding it tough not to want to see Brady win another Super Bowl, but I don't want Steven Cheah to think he deserves this. It's Brady's, not yours. But at the same time, Mahomes going back to back at such a young age would be very cool. I like when the new crop of guys begin to dominate.
So right now I'm torn. All I know though is we are lucky to be watching Brady vs Mahomes, and the league is in good hands with Josh Allen as well.
