Chris Evans Is BACK As Captain America!

In a move that is sure to rock the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sources tell Deadline that Chris Evans is cleaning the dust off his Captain America attire as he expected reprise the role in the MCU in some form. Still vague if deal as completely closed but insiders say its headed in that direction for Evans to return as Steve Rogers aka Captain America in at least one Marvel property with the door open for a second film. Sources add it’s unlikely to be a new Captain America installment and more likely to be like what Robert Downey Jr. did after Iron Man 3, appearing in films like Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

WOW! When Evans stepped away from the role, I think we all felt that sense of finality for the role for both him as Cap and RDJ as Tony Stark. Espeically when both of them were so adamant about it being done with it. Evans said this on Graham Norton:

“Yes, I think it is [the end],” Evans said of his time as Captain America. “It was a great run, and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it, in my opinion. It was such a good experience, and I think it’s better left that way.”

While he obviously isn't coming back to the role in a standalone role (at least based on the article), this is still really shocking. But in the words of Empower Palpatine...

Chris Evans IS Captain America in the same way that RDJ IS Tony Stark. They both helped launch the MCU from being a loose collection of superhero movies into the fucking MONSTER of a franchise that it is today. So I'm all about him reprising, especially if it is in a smaller role and not as a main guy. Let's watch his best fight scene(not up for debate)

We actualy interviewed the new Captain America*, Anthony Mackie, on todays episode of LCB. We talked avengers, the Falcon, and what to expect from 'The Falcon & The Winter Soldier'.
