Taylor Swift Moved The Release Of Her Latest Surprise Album Out Of Respect For Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney was on The Howard Stern Show earlier this week to talk about 'McCartney III' (which is OUT NOW) and the former Beatle revealed that Taylor Swift actually moved the release date of 'evermore' - not once but TWICE - purely out of respect to him....

“I did the Rolling Stone cover with Taylor Swift, and she just emailed me recently, and she said, ‘I wasn’t telling anyone, but I’ve got another album; and she said, ‘So I was going to put it out on my birthday.’ … And then she said, ‘But I found out you were going to put [yours] out on the 10th. So I moved it to the 18th.’ And then she found out we were coming out on the 18th so she moved back to the 10th. So I mean, you know, people do keep out of each other’s way. It’s a nice thing to do.”

Pretty fucking awesome/wholesome show of respect to a true legend, and hilarious that Paul McCartney was one of the only people in the world that knew about 'evermore' before it dropped. If I had Macca's email address I think I'd tell him of all my big life news first too.

Taylor did a phenomenal interview with McCartney for Rolling Stone last month that I'd definitely recommend checking out if you're interested at all in either of them; the way they discuss music, lyrics, and songwriting is so damn fascinating….

I would LOVE to hear a track by the two of em together….imagine that?! Swift-McCartney?! I'll have some of that. Shoot your shot, Taylor! You got that email!

Oh, and Chris Rock also interviewed Paul about the new album last night, which I found to be super enjoyable. Check that out below.

P.S. McCartney III absolutely rules. It's exceeded all of my expectations and I haven't stopped spinning it since it dropped. It's absolutely insane that Paul's producing such good tunes at 78 years old - especially considering he played EVERYTHING on 'em!
