In Honor Of Yesterday's Tom Cruise Rant Let's Take It Back To Christian Bale Destroying The Director Of Photography On The Set Of Terminator Salvation

If you watched yesterday's Tom Cruise rant and it didn't make you think of the famous Christian Bale rant then I don't even want to know you. To refresh your memory, while on the set of Terminator Salvation in 2008, Bale lost his fucking mind on the director of photography Shane Hurlbut who kept interrupting his concentration on set by moving in the background. What followed was a four minute tirade where Bale threatened to quit the movie if it continued. I'm always fascinated by Bale's accent during this explosion. He can't decide if he's either American or English based on hearing him yell on the set. 

I love every actor on the set completely siding with Bale as if he was the victim here. Obviously totally understand the movie set being a creative set, but also at the end of the day he eviscerated this poor Director of Photography. I mean just destroyed his life in as embarrassing fashion as humanly possible. You'd think it was the other way around the way some of these guys came to his side. 

Bale called into an LA radio show KROQ to issue an apology for the incident. Honestly just about as sincere and honest as it gets. Obviously he's one of the best actors out there so you can never be too sure the realness of it, but from a person who has a really small brain I thought it was super genuine.
