You Will Not Believe How Much Kevin From 'The Office' Made This Year on Cameo

Fox News — The actor, who starred as chili-loving accountant Kevin Malone in the NBC sitcom “The Office,” is poised to earn more than $1 million from videos posted on the Cameo app.

The app’s co-founder and CEO, Steven Galanis, recently revealed in The New York Times "Sway" podcast that the 48-year-old had the most revenue on the platform.

“The person that did the most in revenue this year is Brian Baumgartner who is Kevin from ‘The Office,’” said Galanis. “He’ll do over $1 million this year in bookings.”

I don't know how much I though people were making on Cameo, but I definitely did not think Brian Baumgartner was raking in $1 million a year to wish people a happy birthday. That's abject insanity.

And then I got to thinking how many people would have to book Baumgartner for him to make that much money. I figured he charges maybe $50, which would be 20,000 people to get to $1 million. Then I went and looked at the app.

Two hundred bucks a pop?! Kevin is a finesse KING. This man got 5,000 people to shell out $200 this year for what, a minute of work? He's making $12,000 an hour!

I don't think there's a person on Earth you could get to shell out $200 for a one-minute video of them, but I respect the hell out of anybody who can get other people to do it. That's America.

Being a Cameo superstar has officially replaced NFL backup quarterback at No. 1 on my best job power rankings. Obviously Baumgartner acted on an iconic television show beforehand, but he now has it as made in the shade as anybody in America. Go get that bag, king.
