Oskee Wow Wow: The Lovie Smith Era Is Officially Over (UPDATED)

The Bears are about to kick off so excuse me for not checking this more thoroughly. Fact is the program absolutely fucking sucks right now and Lovie just wrapped his 5th year. It is not unreasonable to suggest that I, Barstool Carl, could have personally delivered equitable results should I have been the head coach the last 5 seasons. That's how bad things are right now. No one is even debating my qualifications as a head coach. You guys are just nodding along like Yeah Carl Could Probably Beat Akron Too. That's how much Lovie Smith sucked. 

Now Josh Whitman is on to his 2nd man. And if we're being honest, he got the Brad Underwood hiring so utterly correct that he has at least 3 more football coach Fuck Ups before someone starts complaining. That's just the cold reality of being an Illini fan. This is what we get for firing Zook and Bruce in successive seasons but I digress. We're on to Cincinnati. We're on to the next coach. 

Personally I like Sean Lewis from Kent State and I mean that personally. He grew up down the street from me. You bet your ass I want to see my buddy from Oak Lawn coach the Fighting Illini. But like I said Bears are about to kick so we'll talk about this shit later. 9-7 gets us to the playoffs.
