Ayo Dosunmu Scores 36 But Illinois Still Loses To Mizzou

I don't want to spend a lot of time on you Missouri inbreds because I'm in a dark emotional state. But for my money I'd be happy to play you lousy motherfuckers come March and I mean that sincerely. If it's the 2nd round or sweet 16 and it comes down to beating Missouri, I like my chances. No disrespect to your efforts tonight and miraculous 93% shooting from the FT line. We just know that Ace Miller doesn't score 2 points the next time around. We know Trent Frazier gets off more than 2 three's and we know that Kofi is only getting better. 

Here's what we also know, and it's arguably the biggest fact in college basketball. 

Ayo Dosunmu is the baddest perimeter player in the country. He is twice the size of any point guard. He is stronger, smarter, calmer and cooler. Yes it's a bad road loss on a snowy wintery Saturday. But come March you're going to value this kind of loss because it's a building block. And you don't give Brad Underwood building blocks unless you want to get your ass beat in down the road. This is me warning you. 

Until then, I have a lot of faith this is yet another small bump in route to a Big Ten Championship. I've never been more certain in my life, other than when I tell you right now that Mizzou sucks. Sure you won tonight but don't tell me you're better off long-run. That's why you're Mizzou.
