New York City Trying To Ban Handgun iPhone Case
NYDN - It might protect your iPhone, but it could also get you killed. A new iPhone case that’s shaped like the grip of a handgun was blasted on Tuesday by cops and anti-gun advocates as “a deathtrap.” Concerned critics demanded the gun-grip cases be banned from being sold on the Internet and stores, saying they can easily be mistaken for a real firearm. “This is the stupidest, most dangerous thing I’ve ever seen,” said one former cop who spoke anonymously of the accessory. Making matters worse is that the gun-handle cases — which can be purchased online or from street vendors throughout the city — also come with an app that puts a picture of a gun barrel on the iPhone’s screen. They will no doubt doom teens who are caught with the pistol cases sticking out of their pockets, law enforcement officials said. “I would NOT suggest purchasing this cell phone case, which is designed to look like a firearm,” a tweet from the NYPD’s 112th Precinct in Queens read on Tuesday. The head of the city’s largest police union predicted the cases will endanger “both the lives of those who carry it and the police officers whose job it is to rid the street of illegal guns.”
You can’t ban stupid!
Maybe there was a time where I’d call this The Pussification of America or something. I remember playing with cap guns when I was young. Always wanting the most realistic toy gun possible. I remember ripping the little orange nub off the muzzle of my toy guns trying to make it look as black and real as possible before running around waving it in the streets. Well not anymore. Nowadays you get shot for shit like that. I mean, not me, I’m white. Cops dont shoot white people. But nonetheless its just NOT a good idea to walk around with anything that looks like a gun. In the time it takes to hold up your fake gun and say “No officer its not an actual gun its my iPhone case, see?” you’re fuckin dead. NYPD dont fuck around anymore because each and every year more and more people get more and more crazy.
Personally I dont have a problem with people who carry these getting shot. Just more Social Darwinism. Weeding the idiots out of the gene pool. Would rather a couple idiots with iPhone gun cases get shot than the cops acting all cautious and polite to the one weirdo who’s carrying an actual gun.
