I find “Uptown Funk” to be pretty played out as a song at this point but I have to admit that I enjoyed what Rick Astley brought to the table here. And if we’re being honest, he also looks 1000% less weird than you’d have expected him to grow up into, right? This Rick Astley is looking smooth and debonair in a way I was very much not expecting along with some decent pipes. Keep doing you, Astley. I’m open minded towards a Rick Astley Renaissance.

While on the subject of 80s music acts of moderate success, Rick Springfield on True Detective last night…shall we say not holding up quite as well?
