The Broncos Playing In Primetime In Four Of The First Six Weeks Of The Season Is Absolute Torture
I am sitting here on the Thursday Night Football stream right now live from Hoboken and all of us (along with all of you) are rightfully complaining about the quality of this game between the Colts and Broncos. This isn't the first time that Denver has failed to put things together in primetime, and guess what? It certainly will not be the last:
I understand when NFL teams that attract a large audience get loaded into primetime. The Dallas Cowboys, the Patriots with Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes are all regulars in a standalone spot. But are the Denver Broncos really that much of a draw? Sure, Russell Wilson is a big name. But I don't recall any of those teams or brands getting FIVE standalone games in the first eight weeks of the season. No matter who is playing, that seems like aggressive scheduling.
This TNF game is so bad that we have put on a long list of other games on surrounding televisions here in Hoboken...

Sure, we know how all of the events above ended, but they're all better than the game we are watching right now. We'll see you in primetime next week, Denver!
