Wake Up With Dwight‘s Mussolini Speech from ‘The Office’

Political Week continues on the Wake Up with one of Jim Halpert’s greatest pranks. When Dwight asks for help writing a speech to deliver at a sales conference, Jim uses a Benito Mussolini speech from the 1930s. it’s also one of Rainn Wilson’s finest performances. From the stark terror he feels going up there to getting into his groove while completely oblivious to the fact he’s delivering a fascist message, to the pivot he has to do afterwards making it all about being Michael’s sidekick. It’s a moment that inspired thousands of imitators at graduation commencement addresses.
