Greg Hardy Is Now At Risk Of Becoming The First Heavyweight In UFC History To Miss Weight (UPDATED)
What a disaster.
Greg Hardy just tipped the scales at 266.5lbs for his heavyweight contest against Maurice Green tomorrow - which would be all fine and dandy if he were competing in the fictional UFC Super Heavyweight division that allows you to weigh whatever you want - but unfortunately, that doesn't exist; so he's now at risk of becoming the first fighter in UFC history to miss the heavyweight limit of 266lbs for a non-title fight. He's got an hour to shave off that extra .5lbs, though, so we'll see if he beats the clock. If I had to guess, I'd say he will.
I wouldn't even be surprised if he comes back with a shaved head just to avoid the embarrassment and ridicule that'd come with not being able to make heavyweight. Whatever it takes.
Seriously tho - who else but Greg Hardy to miss weight at heavyweight?! Who else?!
UPDATE: He made it. Not sure we should necessarily be *praising* that....but he made it.
