Dana White Reveals Khabib Was Fighting With A Broken Foot Tonight

As if Khabib Nurmagomedov’s incredibly dominant submission victory over Justin Gaethje this evening wasn’t impressive enough, Dana White revealed in a post-fight press conference that Khabib was fighting with a broken foot! Two broken toes and a broken bone in his foot (and the injury happened three weeks ago, to be exact) actually!

I’m not sure who was aware of this injury pre-fight (it definitely didn’t seem like Dana White was), and I’m not tryna be a narc here, but just out of genuine curiosity - how dafuq did this get past pre-fight medical tests? I guess they don’t check for broken bones if you’re not complaining about them or whatever? That sound about right? Maybe different people are evaluated in different ways? Like, a doctor sees a broken foot on Khabib, and knows he’ll be fine and still smesh with it, so he allows him to fight? I dunno. 

Dana was asked if he believed we have actually seen the last of Khabib in the octagon, to which he answered, "Yes", but refused to give up what his future "special plans" for the undefeated fighter were coming into this fight. Could it have been that Georges St-Pierre superfight for a shot at 30-0? Possibly! We're discussing possibilities of the past now, though - I believe Khabib's done as well.
