I Refuse To Believe This Absolutely Preposterous Statistic About Draco Malfoy In The Harry Potter Movies

It's October so excuse me if you find an uptick in the Harry Potter conversation. That's just how my brain is wired going back to elementary school and that's not changing any time soon. If that makes me a bitch then so be it. I'm a bitch who likes Harry Potter. I'm a bitch who likes magic. I'm not the first and I won't be the last.

Only problem is this blog isn't about me. It's about Draco Malfoy and his preposterous 31 minutes and 30 seconds of screen time across the near 20-hour anthology. That's good for less than 4 minutes a movie and we're talking about the primary peer-antagonist. Did he just not show up during the TriWizard Tourney? Did he get any playing time with Dolores Umbrdige? The people are asking. The people demand to know. And without getting into spoilers you know there's a lot of run time in Deathly Hallows part 2. Where the rest of the time goes, I have absolutely no idea. This metric definitely caught me by surprise.

Here's another good surprise: Prisoner of Azkaban put up a strong fight against Goblet of Fire yesterday.

I knew GoF would win the fight, but a lot of experts had this in the 60+ range. There were some very good arguments for Azkaban, notably that it was a better movie but far worse book compared to #4. Personally I don't disagree, but I think there's a stronger argument around supporting cast. And in that regard, Viktor Krum is an all time character. Whatever his screen time is they need to go back and double it. Directors Cut KRUM EDITION. Give the people what they want.
