Pat Maroon Reminisces About Shooting The Puck Into The Dallas Bench On The Latest Spittin' Chiclets
"Hey, did that change the series or what?"
It's tough to argue with the Big Rig that it didn't. At the end of the second period of Game 1 with his team trailing 3-1, Maroon airmailed a puck into the Dallas bench and was given a 10-minute misconduct for his malfeasance. Though Tampa Bay lost the game, the Lightning outshot Dallas 22-2 in the third period, won four of the next five games, and outscored the Stars 17-11 en route to the franchise's second Stanley Cup (excluding ENGs).
Does that happen if the Big Rig doesn't send one deep in the heart of the Texas team's bench? Who's to say? But it happened and they won, so who's not to say?
The boys want to send a huge thanks to friends of the show Patty Maroon and Alex Killorn for making time for Spittin' Chiclets in the midst of their Stanley Cup celebrations. It's most appreciated. If you haven't caught the ep yet, here it is:
