Arch Manning Has Played One Game as a High School Sophomore and Already Looks Like the Greatest QB of All-Time

Arch Manning may end up being the most prized college football recruit in the modern era when it's all said and done. Manning — Cooper's son and Peyton and Eli's nephew — played his first game of the 2020 season for Isidore Newman High School on Thursday night and casually threw for five touchdowns and added a rushing score for good measure.

But just look at some of those throws. There are a lot of Power Five starting quarterbacks who can't make the throw Manning makes at the 0:58 mark of that video. The kid has insane arm talent.

The recruiting rankings for the 2023 class aren't very refined yet, but Manning is listed as the No. 5 overall player in the country and the No. 1 quarterback — though I would be truly shocked if there are four players ahead of him by the time signing day rolls around.

His recruitment is going to be unreal. And while I obviously want every great player to go to Tennessee, I think we can all agree that UT making a special exception for Arch to wear Peyton's retired No. 16 in Tennessee orange would be an incredible sight for college football. I need it.

Regardless of where he ends up in a couple years, I feel pretty confident in saying Arch Manning is an NFL quarterback. Normal 16-year-olds don't make throws like that.
