Steven Soderbergh's New Crime Thriller 'No Sudden Move' Has An AWESOME Cast

Steven Soderbergh has commenced production on his latest film No Sudden Move (f.k.a Kill Switch), a crime thriller that is being produced under his recently formed overall deal with HBO Max. The starry cast ensemble includes Don Cheadle (Black Monday), Benicio Del Toro (Sicario), David Harbour (Stranger Things), Amy Seimetz (The Comey Rule), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), Ray Liotta (The Many Saints of Newark), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Brendan Fraser (Doom Patrol), Noah Jupe (Honey Boy), Bill Duke (Black Lightning), Frankie Shaw (SMILF), and Julia Fox (Uncut Gems).

Written by Ed Solomon, the film is set in 1955 Detroit and centers on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

Steven Soderbergh is one of those directors that will always have my attention when his name hits the news airwaves. Most of you probably know him from the Oceans franchise, and rightfully so. But some of his stuff since then like 'Magic Mike', 'Logan Lucky', and even the more experimental like 'Unsane' were pretty god damn good. Every now and then there was a dud like 'The Laundromat' or 'The Good German' but I respect that he fucking goes 100% to whatever he sets his mind to.

I think any Soderbergh fan will admit that he is the most in his bag when it comes to crime thrillers that have a little charm to them. Just going off the base synopsis they gave and this delightful cast, it looks like this is going to be just that. This is a delightful group of individuals and I can't wait to see them in action. Funny thing is that this cast is partially a B-squad, but I actually like it even more with the newer castings.

Oh, you thought I was gonna leave you hanging?
