Trevor Bauer Breaks Down Tim Anderson Taking Him DEEP This Weekend

I get that Trevor Bauer is a totally acquired taste and not for everybody. I happen to love him, but can see why people don't. I think he'd even admit that, but he doesn't give a fuck. He's good for the game - has totally taken the science behind pitching and flipped it on its head. For someone who's not a physical freak of nature in the mold of a Gerrit Cole or Michael Kopech, he gets the very most out of his god given ability.

He also loves breaking the unwritten rules. We've all seen his cleat game this summer...

and have watched him troll the shit out of the Houston Astros for their sign stealing. It's awesome and refreshing to have a personality like him in baseball, at least in my opinion. But let's wind it back to last year: Tim Anderson gets dragged by old school baseball guys for flipping his bat in an April game against KC:

And Bauer responds in kind with this:

to which TA responds with this:

I'm a salty old fuck and hate yucking it up with the enemy, but people LOVED this interaction, and it resurfaced Saturday when TA took Bauer deep:

No bat flip, and Bauer called out TA for it, as he should have:

and here's the result. If you're a baseball guy, this is an awesome video. I could watch pitching or hitting breakdowns ALL DAY LONG. I almost made a career out of it. The innards of baseball are so fascinating, and love him or hate him, Bauer breaks down the art of pitching as good as anyone on the planet. The video below wasn't necessarily a breakdown, more friendly ribbing, but it's not completely void of breaking down the at bat at the same time. Here it is:

This is the kinda shit that will help grow the game, and growing the game is important right now. There is more young talent in baseball than ever before and the old assholes who are in charge of growing it are doing a shit job. That's why I love this video so much. I'm not necessarily talking about him getting DEEP into the art of pitching, I'm talking about both him and TA dominating social media to break down the game from a player to the fans. If you disagree with me GTFO. This kinda shit is awesome and we need more of it.
