Harry Styles Is Teaming Up With Florence Pugh And Chris Pine For 'Don't Worry Darling'

After launching his acting career in Dunkirk, Harry Styles looks to have found his follow-up. He is has landed one of the lead roles in the New Line thriller Don’t Worry Darling, the next directing outing for Olivia Wilde. Styles replaces Shia LaBeouf, who had to depart the project due to a scheduling conflict.

Although little is known about the movie’s plot, Don’t Worry, Darling is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.

Going off of face value, this has potential to be incredible. Beyond being a great actress, Wilde did an exceptional job in her directorial debut. 'Booksmart' was clever, heartfelt and a very easy to watch coming of age movie and if she can bring any of that same magic to this, it should be one of the better movies of whatever year it comes out. Chris Pine is a beautiful man rocket who is underratedly strong at his craft, and Florence Pugh is arguably a top 3 young actress working right now. While getting Styles is huge from a marketing standpoint, I still don't know if he is a particularly strong actor. I liked a lot about 'Dunkirk', but I don't think acting was the strong suit of it in particular.

But it's Harry Styles! He's the pussy eating guy! If you get the chance to cast him in a movie that is presumably going to revolve around young people, you cast him 100/100 times. I just want to know more about this movie now. Is it 'Pleasantville'? 'The Giver'? Something in between? I don't know, but what I DO know is that when the first pictures of Styles and Pine wearing 50's outfits, haircuts and wayfarer sunglasses hit the internet, the whole world is going to be creaming their pants. Myself included.
