I got unnaturally excited when I first saw that Hilary Duff was on Tinder. A celebrity on the app I spend literally every waking second of the day I think about, what a miracle. But then it was revealed that it might just be for a reality show. And now it’s just this music video which, while no “Pretty Girls,” isn’t exactly setting my life on fire. I mean there was some good:

Juicy mom thighs all over. But also some bad:

This fake radio interview based on a real one she had with Ryan Seacrest was just so weird. Radio interviews are bad enough but fake radio interviews for like 20% of the video? No thanks. And the ugly:

This poor dude getting an awkward blowoff on a sidehug, sexual chemistry in the negative digits here. On the plus side, “Date with Hilary Duff” is still a pretty decent trophy on the mantle all things considered. Oh and also in ugly I’d include the entire song. I just finished watching it and the whole thing was as memorable as drinks with Darren Sharper.

Also I’m not usually the skeptical type with paid placements but is there a chance this is somehow a real Tinder ad? Even in the fake world of pop star music videos this one seemed laid on REAL thick in very annoying ways. I’m going to need at least an awkward five seconds of OTPHJ from a hidden camera Hilary Duff date to take it seriously.
