Anthony Rizzo Gets It. Rips Politicians For Being Full of Shit, Agenda Driven Frauds

USA Today- Six teams and several additional players across the league refused to play in the wake of police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shooting a Black man named Jacob Blake, 29, seven times in the back. 

Rizzo was not one of them, as Heyward encouraged his teammates to play, but his words Wednesday night were poignant.

"I've gone through a lot with my high school and shit doesn't change. It's just the fact of the matter," he told reporters. "Politicians don't really give a (expletive) about us. All they care about is their own agenda and it's just the way it is and it's upsetting.

"I'm sorry to use that language and go off. It's upsetting."

Rizzo graduated from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, where a student brought a gun to school and killed 17 classmates, wounding another 17, on Feb. 14, 2018.

There’s not much more to add here. Just thought it was worth giving credit where it’s due.

Good for Anthony Rizzo.

Fuck taking sides and continuing the perpetual cycle of finger pointing. At the end of the day none of these politicians, on either side, give a shit about anything other than re-election. Period. Sure, they’ll line their pockets along the way, and take care of the crooks that got them elected, their family members, and other cronies. But anything to get in office and stay in office. Forever. Keep your head low, scratch the back of those who scratch yours. Wash rinse repeat. Tale as old as time and it doesn’t matter the party.

Rizzo is obviously a friend of the program but even if this was Peyton Manning saying this (he never ever ever would. Coward) I’d be pointing it out because of how refreshing it is to see a talking head voice THEIR OWN opinion. He’s not regurgitating some other agenda or the same cliche talking points we hear on a daily basis.

And nobody has more room to talk than somebody like Rizzo. His high school had 17 children mowed down by an automatic riflein 2018. The world turned its eye to Parkland, FL. People all over took a stand for change. Important people made promises to enact it. What happened? Not a thing. Absolutely nothing.

Would call the political system in this country a total joke if it wasn’t so offensively sad.

p.s. - we need term limits so bad it’s scary
