Wake Up With The Conspiracy Theory Of The Frozen Envelope And The 1985 NBA Draft Lottery

One of my all-time favorite sports conspiracy theories. Did it benefit my NBA team? Absolutely. But the term 'frozen envelope' is just perfect for a sports conspiracy theory. It's what I want. It's really what helped shape how we remember David Stern. A dude who was damn good at his job but would also fuck around and leave stories like this out there. We all know the story now. Either the envelope was frozen so Stern knew which one to pull or there was a creased corner so he could notice it. The plan was to bring the best prospect to New York and help saved the Knicks. It worked! Frankly we need to do this again, multiple times.
